When installing a light embedding sensors, you will be presented with the choice of an operation mode. Taking the most typical example of a light with both PIR motion sensor and daylight sensor, the choices will be as follows:
- No sensing: disables all sensors. The light will operate like a regular WiZ light
- Motion sensing only: enables the PIR motion sensor. Which lights reply to the sensor, their behavior when there is motion and no motion, as well as various delays are all configurable afterwards
- Motion sensing with brightness condition: enables both the motion sensor and the daylight sensor. The light will only turn on when there is motion and the area is dark enough. As usual, targeted lights and, brightness threshold and other parameters are all configurable
- Lux sensing only: enables only the brightness sensor, so that your lights would turn on when it is dark and turn off when it is bright enough. Once again, most parameters are configurable afterwards.
If you need to change the operation mode of a light at some point, you can do this from its settings page. Note that depending on the change you make, some of your automations can be affected (e.g. motion sensing will not work anymore if you only enable the daylight sensor).
