Privacy and security is essential to WiZ since the very beginning, which is why we built end-to-end encryption into our app for handling camera videos in order to protect the media and also make sure it cannot be read by anybody you do not want to be able to. We do not transmit unencrypted personal data from your products over the internet.
When you use an SD card to store your media, the camera will format the whole card and make sure the volume is encrypted so that even if you remove the card and use a computer to read it, you will not be able to access any of the files nor their contents. Only the camera which did the encryption is able to read it, and only the WiZ apps which have an "owner" access to the home and have connected to the camera at least once for streaming can get access to the media.
Similarly, the video files stored on our cloud, which is an option part of Heads-Up, are fully encrypted so that even WiZ is not able to decrypt them. This is to guarantee that only you and those that you authorize have access to the media.
