In order to connect your lights, please check the troubleshooting steps below.
Still having an issue? Contact our support team via the chat function in the app (Support > Chat with us) and we'll help you fix it!

1 - Check that the lamp or bulb is within Wi-Fi range.

Go next to the bulb or lamp with your mobile, and check that you are well connected to Wi-Fi. If the bulb is too far away, it cannot connect. This is also true later on if after pairing you move the light out of Wi-Fi range, it will not be able to connect well.

2 - Check that your phone is connected to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi on your home router.
2.4GHz is the Wi-Fi band used by the lamps because it covers more distance than 5GHz. Your phone has to be on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi so that the pairing works. If your router does not distinguish between 5GHz and 2.4GHz, you may need to check inside the router settings ( http://192.168.1.1/ ).
If you do not know which network you are on, go check your router settings, your router probably gives the same name to both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. You probably need to go into "Advanced Wi-Fi Settings" and check a checkbox saying "have different SSID for each network" (or something equivalent). Then, rename your 5GHz network by adding "-5GHz" at the end. Now, in your phone list of available networks, you should see one named "my wi-fi name" and one named "my wi-fi name -5GHz". Choose the one without 5GHz, it will therefore be the 2.4GHz one. The lamps get the credentials of your router via a protocol named UDP. Please check that UDP is not blocked on your network in your router settings.

3 - Start pairing in the WiZ app
Tap on the [+] icon to add new lamp(s), then double check if you are connecting to the Wi-Fi network of your home and enter the Wi-Fi password to search for the lamp.
If no lamp is found, put the lamp into pairing mode with pulsating light (pulsing in Cool White if you have a WiZ Whites, pulsing Blue if you have WiZ Colors). You need to turn off and on your electric switch with an action about every second until you reach this mode. Normally, the mode is reached after 3 times ON. If the lamp has already been paired, the mode is reached after 5 times ON.The lamp must be pulsing to be found by the phone or tablet.

The pairing mode looks like this for Tunable White lights on the left and Colors lights on the right:
If the WiZ light blinks in red (or blink in white for non-colour lamps) during pairing, it might be encountering the below issues:
- Wrong Wi-Fi password
- Network router is out of range
- DHCP problem and connection fail
In that case, please double check the Wi-Fi password or restart the network router.
If no lights have been found, you can tap on "Try Manual Setup". Wait for the next screen to open and follow the instructions, which will make you open the Wi-Fi settings of your phone and connect to Wi-Fi: " WiZConfig_XXXX"
PS: Some phones might require confirmation when connecting to Wi-Fi without internet connection.
When the light is in Manual Setup" mode and emits a Wi-Fi signal, it will pulse in purple color:

Once the mobile phone is connected to the Wi-Fi emitted by the WiZ light, go back to the WiZ app and wait for the process to complete.
If you are still facing issues after trying these exact steps 2 or 3 times, please contact our support team using the in-app chat and tell us at which step you are having an issue. We will get back to you as fast as we can.

6 - Wait a little (maximum 5 minutes), there must be a spinner and the lamp should be found. If the lamp flashes in red, it is usually that the Wi-Fi password you entered is incorrect. If it goes normally, the lamp should be found and appear in the application.

If after trying 2 or 3 times doing these exact steps, it does not work, do not hesitate to contact our support using the in-app chat and tell us at which step number you are having an issue, we try to answer as fast as we can.
