The Dial switch is a control accessory, introduced by WiZ in 2024. It enables you to turn your WiZ lights on and off, dim them with a rotary dial, and recall 4 preset modes or Scenes. All of that bundled in a very convenient and sleek wall-mounted design.

By default, every dial switch is attached to one room. However you can edit this in Settings > Accessories > your switch > Targets if you wish to control only a few lights in the room, or multiple rooms...

Here is a recap of the controls of your switch:
  • Short press the rotary dial to turn on
  • Long press (0.5s) the rotary dial to turn off
  • Turn the dial clockwise to brighten
  • Turn the dial anticlockwise to dim
  • Short press the button in the bottom left corner to go to favorite mode 1
  • Short press the button in the bottom right corner to go to favorite mode 2
  • Long press (0.5s) the button in the bottom left corner to go to favorite mode 3
  • Long press (0.5s) the button in the bottom right corner to go to favorite mode 4

The switch is not directional: it does not need to be pointed in any particular direction, and can just remain on the wall in its preferred location.

The switch is compatible with all WiZ lights.
To set it up, you will need at least one of the lights of your room to be paired in the WiZ app and currently connected.
The switch does not connect to your Wi-Fi router. Instead, it communicates directly with the lights in the home. This means you will be able to use it even if your Internet or your Wi-Fi goes down.
Its control range is typically around 15 meters.
