Within a SpaceSense setup, lights can have two different roles:
  • The beacon is the light which is sending the Wi-Fi signals on the network.
  • The processors are the lights measuring how much of the original signal (emitted by the beacon) they receive and measuring the fluctuations. Sharp fluctuations mean there is a disturbance, which means there is motion.
