No, the TV backlight strip is not designed to be cut.

The backlight strip is designed to fit certain sizes of TV (55"~65" or 75"~85"). Please get the kit that is suitable for your TV.

However, due to the variety of form factor from different TV brands and models, it can still happen that the backlight strip turns out to be longer than your TV frame. In this case, here is the recommended way of installation without cutting the strip. 

Please take care of the following during the process:

• Always center align the top side of the backlight strip
• When bending the LED strip, be careful not to bend or squeeze the "loops" too tight. Make sure to make bigger loops to avoid cracking the plastic coating or breaking the LED chips.
• Use the fixing clips on each side of the "loops" so the strip is less likely to come off the glue due to the tension.
