If you do not have a WiZ home yet
If someone is inviting you to join their WiZ home, first of all, congratulations! :)
You may be presented with one or more of the following joining options:
- QR code
- Invitation link
- Invitation code (6 digits)
If you do not have the WiZ app installed, scanning the QR code or the tapping on the invitation link will automatically redirect to your app store of choice. Please install the WiZ app.
Once the app is installed, you scan the QR code again, or tap on the hyperlink. The app should automatically open and give you access to the home.
If does not, please follow the process below:
- Open the WiZ app, and tap on GET STARTED on the first screen
- Review the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy
- If you want to link your WiZ account to a third-party sign-in for convenience, please pick a sign-in option from the list. Otherwise, tap on "Do it later" at the bottom of the screen to continue without signing in
- Set up your user profile by picking a nickname and an avatar for yourself. Those will be shown in your WiZ homes
- Pick an app theme. Light, dark, or just whatever your phone is using. Up to you
- Review our notification options. No worries, we like to keep it light
- Select "Join a home"
- Scan the QR code.
- If you do not have a QR code or would prefer not to use the camera, tap on "USE INVITATION CODE" and input the 6 digits code, then tap on JOIN
- The app will display the WiZ home you have been invited to. Have fun!
If you already have a WiZ home
- Open the Settings tab of the WiZ app
- Tap on the name of your current home
- Scroll down to the "Others" section and pick "Join a home"
- Either scan the QR code or input the 6-digit invitation code
- The home you have been invited to will be added to your list of homes. Select it to control lights from that home instead!
