- Go to the Settings tab, and scroll down to the "Members" section of your current home
- Locate the button with a + on the right of the members tile, and tap on it
- Specify the name of the member of the home you are inviting (note that they can change this manually later on)
- Select a role: owner, user or guest
- Choose the expiry date of the invitation. By default, invites are valid for 7 days. You may choose to extend this up to 14 days.
- Confirm to create the invite. You can then share the QR code with your guest. Alternatively, you can share the invitation code that they can input manually
Note: in order to keep the system up, running and safe, WiZ needs to ensure that every home contains at least one owner with the ability to recover their account (for example if they change their phone). This is why you will be required to link your WiZ account to a third-party sign-in before you can invite someone else. This prevents people getting "locked out" of the home if your phone failed, with no other owner to let you back in.
