The camera can also be used as a motion sensor, so that it would trigger reaction from the lights even if no monitoring routine is activated.

Note that you can change this setting in the Camera settings page at any time.

When a camera acts as a motion sensor, it will behave the exact same way as if you had a PIR motion sensor, as long as it is not in Off or Privacy mode. The camera will control the lights in the room it is in, and those lights will behave following the movement detection automation settings of the room.

So for example if you have 2 phases in the day, one with warm white and another one with daylight, then if the camera sees movement and detects it, it will send a message to the lights to react as per the phases.

Note that the camera may take some time to decide to send a "no motion" message to your lamps, making sure there is indeed no motion and avoiding sending too many messages. The time for cooldown in-between events will be the one the camera will use to decide that there is indeed no more motion detected.
